Dr. Thilo Pfletschinger had the opportunity to hold great discussions with pioneering scientists from the circular economy on July 9 at the “Circular Factory for the Perpetual Innovative Product” summer school, organized by the Institute of Production Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Together with Professor Matthias Kreimeyer from the Institute for Construction Technology and Technical Design (IKTD) at the University of Stuttgart, Dr. Thilo Pfletschinger presented the results of the current study on “Resilient Product Design.” The exchange and cooperation with leading scientists from KIT, MIT, Linköping University and other scientific institutes provides important impulses for the dissemination and optimization of concepts and methods of the circular economy. In particular, interdisciplinary collaboration between development, production and purchasing plays a decisive role for innovations in the circular economy.
